Darleen’s Tea Room provides this town with a new, eclectic atmosphere to invite your new and longtime friends to enjoy a chatty afternoon while enjoying a creative lunch menu, homemade soups, and indulging on desserts. Darleen’s Tea Room has daily featured ice tea flavors as well as an assortment of hot teas.
Darleen’s Tea Room is a family business that is in remembrance of the owner’s mother, Darleen Delores Thebeault. Texas natives, the Denekas family were raised in the country bordering Houston, Texas. One of our favorite pastimes was sitting outside of the Whistle Stop Tea Room in Tomball, Texas, patiently waiting 1 hour to be seated to revel in the atmosphere, food, and chat while sipping deliciously flavored iced tea. There were several Tea Rooms within a rocks throw for you to enjoy this same experience. We hold them dear in our heart and to this day talk about the many places we would have these wonderful, quaint experiences back south.
After living in Havasu, it is not hard to see that there are not many places that are developed for this exact experience that we were looking for. Therefore, Maggie decided to take it upon herself to provide this town with exactly that. We opened our doors in late October 2010 and have watched the Tea Room blossom. Now, you will find our dining room full for lunches, our customers adore our menu, and the best part about the whole thing is being thanked daily for bringing this humble place for a lunch date and family to meet and appreciate.
